Just a thought - weather stripping - trade anyone? (archive)

I posted a while back about trying to decide if I want to keep the "new" weather stripping that I got with my parts car (in all actuality it is about 4 years old but never installed). I need to go through my parts but I believe I have weather stripping for both doors as well as the rear side windows. I think I have opted to stick with what is in the car as it will never see the rain unless it is a track day. As for sound reduction... the car has no carpet or sound deadening so it would be a waste in my car. I am sure there is a more deserving 2002 out there.

Here is what I am thinking. Rather than trying to determine what I want to price them at (I know it is about $300 new from a store) I wanted to see if anyone would be interested in swapping for a complete 320/Volvo Big Brake conversion for my '68? I know these kits are $500 at the shops but I am not expecting new parts for the trade. I have seen them for sale here for $150-200+ on occasion(boneyard parts and good rotors?).

Is this unreasonable?

I'd try to find the parts locally but most boneyards in this area you can't "have at it" in anymore.

If someone has these parts in their garage and is interested in a swap let me know. Otherwise I will probably post the weather stripping here or Ebay shortly.
