Just installed 7x15 Alpina wheels on my '72 tii. These have the 320i offset of 12mm. Compared to the 6x15 that were on it, the steering effort seems to be much higher. Tire size has remained the same (6x15 Rial wheels with Comp T/A changed to 7x15 Alpina with Nitto 450 Extreme, both in 195/50-15). The tire pressure is 35lbs.
Is this normal or even a problem? It seems to me that the contact patch might move outboard with a wider wheel, thus making the effort go up.
Parking really requires some muscles!
