What is the widest 15" wheel that will fit in the stock 2002 wheel wells? What if the car is lowered? I am planning to put progressive rate springs in the car and no one makes such a spring with the stock ride height. I'm looking at 15" because the supply of good street legal high performance tyres are drying up.

Greg,
I run 15x7 w/ 195/50/15's w/ 25mm offset. This is the widest wheel you can run w/o altering the fenders. I did crimp the front lips for these to clear. Remember there is also clearance problems inside the wheel w/ the steering rod end. You might be able to use less of an offset, but I haven't tried. Ron
