I was at the local roadtrack this weekend watching my friend race his IP3-prepped CRX. At lunch today they had some leisure laps, so i strapped a helmet on and took my '02 out onto the course. all i can say is, i have NEVER had that much fun in a car before. If you have not tried this (or even autoX) you HAVE TO DO IT!!! I was laughing my ass off for 7 or 8 straight laps. Anyways, i just had to tell someone.

oops, almost forgot the best part. There was some guy in a viper taking laps as well. on the straights he would absolutlely blow my doors off, to the point that it wasn't even funny. But in the twisties i actually reeled him in a bit, and it felt pretty damn great to come back to the pits and have the racers laugh and say 'man, you were actually catching that guy!'. Of course, the guy didn't have a clue how to drive; even a BAD driver in that viper shoulda been able to smoke me. (he was really, really bad). either way, it was hella fun.

ps it also made me realize that as good as my Yoko AVS-I's and Integra buckets are for the street, they both suck ass in a track setting. slip slide, slip slide.
