Those last two gallons equal fifty miles. I don't like to get close to empty. One day I was late to school and at the red (50 mile trip). Got to school, but half way through the trip, the gauge hit bottom and starts bouncing off the stop needle. Whack, whack, whack; you could almost hear the thing wailing like the cask of amantillato, "you will be @#$%ed, you will be @#$$$&ed"..."

..........Also, at 80 mph. the four speed puts the car at like 4000 Rpm. I would guess that not having the throttle open that much on the side drafts would lead to better gas mileage. I don't have the patience to go 55 though. I would love to see what kind of mileage you could get with a .29 drag coefficient and different gearing and maybe a real lean carburetor. (So you stick the m20 in a motorcycle with a full bullet shaped fairing and 60 knot tail wind at sea level and put a honda crx HF carb on it. I bet gas mileage would be great. just kidding. Tii mileage sounds pretty neat.
