Sorry Chuck, I didn't see your question sooner.I split the driveshaft by putting one end in a vice and prying the otherend off w/king kong pry bar. You can pry against the threaded end of the driveshaft section and the yoke on the other end. (That sounds confusing but you can figure it out.) Don't slip down the threaded end and ruin the threads.
