Thanks to all the great suggestions I recieved, the "piece of shit" (wife reference)is running and will be out of her driveway in the next week or so.

My question is this: The Weber carb appears to be stuck open, or more specifically, the plate at the top of the carb, which pivots open and closed upon acceleration and decceleration, (which I assume is the choke). My particular Weber I beleive has a water controlled choke of some sort, with feed lines comming to and from the engine block.

The engine idles fine when the plate is closed. but I have to hold it in the semi closed position with my hand, otherwise it pivots open and cuts out (due to onadequate fuel, I think)

Suggestions???
