When having my stereo installed ('72 02) I was advised to stay away from installing speakers in the doors and front, side kick panels under the dash (exposure to climate, etc.) Instead, I had two 6x9 speakers installed under the back seat (facing forward) with two tweeters installed in the door posts just above where the seatbelt attaches. And it sounds great. Matter of fact, when you're sitting in the front the music sounds as if it's originating from the rear window area - and when in the back, as if it'scoming from the front. Anyway, that's my two cents. Good luck.
