Re-route rear sunroof drain?? (archive)

I've never been happy with routing the rear sunroof drain into the rocker panel and the hoping that the slot drain won't get plugged.

Has anyone done this?? How do you deal with the inner/outer fender well??

Should I leave well enough alone???
