Sunroof rails (archive)

Advice needed- My sunroof guide rails are gouged where the forward guides run and where the nylon cable ends rub. Gouges are approx. 3mm wide and at worst 1mm deep. How detrimental are these gouges? Can I reuse these rails or do I need new?
