New standard alternator. switched B+ and ground so everything should be lined up. Connect pos cable to battery post, then see blue flash of death when neg cable touched to negative post. Please help if you have any ideas. I'm late to pick up my wife as it is!


Make sure the larger red wire is connected to the POS+ B+ terminal on the alt.
The 3 slot plug is connected to the 3 tabs the way it came off??
The ground should go from the alt case to the block or head
Thats all there is.
It sounds like you have the POS+ wire connected to the housing so when you go to connect the battery terminal you get sparks?
