If someone is gonna buy it to race it, they would probably want the tii motor as it would most likely keep them in a lower class. any place you race it or autoX it, the engine swap is probably gonna bump it up a class or 3. having said that, i'd pay more for a m20 powered car, for the fun factor alone :)

I have a '74tii that I'm building into a streetable racecar. Not really competitive in any particular class, but a hell of a lot of fun to drive on the street or track. It's almost done, and I'm thinking about selling it when it's done to feed my new addiction, SCCA Rally. I won't be without an '02 for long, as I plan on buying a bare shell and building another one, maybe with an E36 M3 forced induction powerplant. Something that is just smokin' fast, but not a grenade waiting to blow.

Anywho, I'm trying to decide if the car would be worth more with the tii motor or with an M20 six. Would definitely be more fun with the six, but it wouldn't be a tii...

What do you think would be easier to sell??

Thanks,
Gabe Pari
