Here's the latest photos of the '72 that has become my new ITB road racer. I'd started with a '76, but was hesitating to strip a good sunroof car. Found out about this one when the owner had just about given up trying to give it away. When I first brought it home I wasn't sure I should have even taken it for free.
But, after 18 months of effort and TLC (truck-loads of cash), it took it's first breaths of fresh air last weekend. WooHoo! Still have a rollcage, fuel cell, and a few other goodies to add, but it's getting close. Then on to the '76 (will the madness never end?)
I'm putting the call out to any other potential ITB racers in the Pacific Northwest to grab your wrenches now and be ready to come racing in 2002. Contact me if you'd like to talk '02s, racing or both.
