: wh buy a 323 when the resale of a 328 or m is so much higher?

I don't plan on selling this car for a really
long time - resale value is not a factor.

Why would you need a sport suspension when there is no power?

Well, you're exagerating here, of course. There
is power, albeit not as much as the 328 - but
there's plenty there (0-60 in 7.1 seconds is
nothing to sneeze at).

Even if the engine was wimpy, I'd still want
the suspension upgrade: my daily commute is
through the twisty hills of Santa Cruz. With
your argument, a wimpy VW GTI shouldn't bother
with great suspension because it's underpowered.

But moreover, I want the sport package
for several reasons: sport seats, foglights,
3 spoke steering wheel, 16in wheels/tires.

Finally, why would anyone want the M aero package on a 328?

I somewhat agree - I don't care for the add-on
wing. But I do like the side skirts an the front
spoiler mods (round foglight openings).

Reminds me of a wanna be....and once again....the resale will not recoupe price of aero. Any thoughts?

Again, some of us keep our cars for a really
long time, we buy what we want, not just because
we can partially recover the expense when we sell
it.
