I love the E46 but that's one design concept that I just don't understand.. moving up the foglights.. WHY? It doesn't bother me that much but I'd prefer if the fogs were lower.

I know we can't change it but I am trying to figure out why BM-de-W did it.

About the Xenons.. err.. actually... in very dense fog, the Xenons will glare more than regular headlights. Although Xenons light up the night better than anything else, their colder color temperature causes their light to reflect off moisture/fog more.

The most effective foglights are yellow (yellow has a longer wavelength, doesn't reflect/glare as easily) and are very low (so whatever does glare back glares back to the level of origin, very low, and not in your face). --Andi

: There is not much that can be done at this point except totally change the front grill design which could get expensive. I like the front design of the E46, high fog lights and all. Besides, if you get the xenon, you will minimize your use of your foglights anyway. You may never have to use them because you have those NICE xenons!
