: Also, I bought my '95 pre-owned a few months ago and noticed that it has 235-40-17s front and rear, but the wheels appear to be 7.5s in the front and 8.5s in the rear... does this make sense... was this standard... should I upsize the width of the rear tyres?

: Thanks in advance...

Hi Patrick,

Well, I cannot really help you with the tires, as my experience
is very limited here. I also bought my '95 M3 a few months ago!

But I wonder why you think you have wider wheels at the rear.
I also got 235/40ZR17 tires all around, and that includes the
full size spare. Were the wheels different at front and rear,
what size should the spare have?

Is the size shown anywhere on your wheels?
I've got standard Motorsport wheels, I think,
and I can't find the size.
