I infer that you find the leather upholstery in your M3 comfortable enough without the vest in the summer as well. I probably wlil go the heated seat route but I'm concerned about hot uncomfortable (leatherette) upholsstery in the summer.

: Well, after having them on my 87 325is I figured I would have the dealer throw them in when I purchased the M3. I loved them on the 325, but the heated seats in the M have made me a believer. The vests are still in the box eleven months later! Maybe I should sell them. If you don't get the heated seats, I highly reccomend the vests.
