I am planning on running (in Philadelphia area) 17" wheels (? maybe borbets, maybe knock offs) with Pirelli winter 210 Asimetricos (? maybe ice asimetricos) in either the 225-45 -17 size or the 215-50-17 size. The difference in overall wheel diameter is not that much, and my 98 M3 has the same 225 size front tires, so it looks normal. The rears look a little wimpy, but not too bad. Anyone have any feedback on this setup, in what is usually a moderate ( and not too severe) winter climate. The WT05s are rec'd by the Tirerack people, but aren't great by report in dry conditions. The pirellis, seem like a nice trade off.
