: : : I am having problems with traction in the rear because I just installed an RD Sport 3.5 litre engine into my 328 coupe. I am running 245/40/17 but traction off the line is still a bit of a problem. Is there anyone running 255 or 265/40/17's in the rear without clearance problems? I don't mind rolling the fenders. I am running H&R sport springs with Bilsteins sport inserts. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
: : I run 255/40 on my M3/4, on a 9 in wheel. Had to roll the fenders even when stock ride height, but even after 1" drop, it is alright...How much power do you get now with the RD?
: The horsepower runs about 320 with the 3.5 litre engine but the torque is what's amazing, it's quite good in the lower range. My friend has an M3 and considers the 3.5 to be a vast improvement so that says something. However Race Marque also offers a good kit if you're considering upgrading so you may want to give them a call. What size tires are you running in the rear?
