Why take an engine with only 1K to 1.5K to redline? All your torque is around 4Kr.p.m. anyway so what's the sense. I don't redline my engine that much but I waited until at least 3K. Miles before I came close. If you want an engine to last a long time, it's worth not beating it up too badly when it's new. You can still have a lot of fun without redlining it. Just my thoughts.
