Who cares. It is all a myth. I never worry about "break in". I have had plenty of new cars. From toyotas to hondas and BMWs and never wories about the reving of my engines. Just have fun and drive the way you like.

: Getting close to 1k miles. I've been good (below 4500 rpm, no full throttle, etc). So what happens after 1K? I assume it isn't smart to run my baby up to 6500 with pedal floored at 1001 miles, but how "gradually" does one increase rpm? I'm planning on slowly getting more aggressive to about 2000 mi, then doing an oil change and just driving. Is that too ambitious? I should say I'm not a real aggressive driver normally, and I'm more concerned about being aggressive enough to properly break in the engine than I am about driving too hard and damaging it.

: tnx for any advice.
