: I am in the market for a 1999 323i. A breakdown of the bimmer I want and the invoice price is as follows; Car w/ destination charge($24,100), automatic($1,140), 16" premium package($2,415), leather($1,235), and moonroof($895). Total invoice price for this car is $29,785. "People" say that from 3-5% over invoice is a good deal. I belive that I should only pay invoice($29,785).....heck....BMW is going to give the dealer 2.2% of the base MSRP(26,400). I think $580.00 is enough profit for the dealer don't you think?
: Also, does anyone know anythink about "tax liability". The salesman told me that he may be able to get closer to the invoice price if i buy the car before Dec. 31, 1998. Is this just sales bull?
