: I believe it would nominally require a change of the complete headlight assembly since the washer system is fully integrated into it. if you go to www.e46.org and look at my car, Arthur Grynspan, you will see one photo of the headlights. Deadcenter, below the clear lens, you will note this trapaziodal outline. This is the washer assembly which, under pressure from a seperate pump on the resevoir, emerges like a dresser drawer, sprays the lens and then retracts.

: Your probably looking at megabucks here.

: Sorry couldn't help more.

Do you think the drawer mechanism that houses the spray nozzle(s?) is mounted onto the narrow body panel (with the two cutouts that match the two headlights) under the headlights? If so, removing the existing panel and replacing with the spray nozzle panel would not be too bad. Would beat replacing the entire headlamp assembly. Then the only other addition is the extra washer fluid pump and some hoses.

In a gap between the chrome surrounds of the low beam and high beam I can faintly see what looks like a white plastic electrical connector. Could this be used to energize the washer drawer?
