: Have any of you seen the E46 with the Xenon headlamp option yet? I saw a new 323i with the Xenon option at the dealer yesterday...yikes, those puppies are ugly. They are unlike the 5 and 7 series where the ellipsoid lenses are set into a glass surround to create symmetry with the adjacent headlamp. In the E46 they just place a lump of chromed plastic where the normal reflector would be with insert the ellipsoid. They even say "xenon" on the side of the lenses. Yuk. IMHO it looks very tacky and out of place, ruins the "wide awake" look of the E46. What a disappointment. True you buy them for the lighting performance, but you don't want the car to look strange in the process.

: Opinions?

: Hopefully BMW will recognize the problem and revise the unit soon.

I have the 323 with Xenon and they are absolutely beautiful, everybody has told me it compltes the car. It looks so cool at night combined with the fogs on.
