If you can back up your A4 vs. E46 comparison with some experiences and facts, then your point is even more valid and impartial.

Until somebody can post a reply who has owns both vehicles in question, I guess we will never know. We all know that a 15 minutes test drive of any car is not reflective of the true nature of car. To own is to know. Any biGerman owners (A4 + E46)out there??? It's OK to be biGerman guys, not that there is anything wrong with that!
I myself am a straight German guy with just a Bimmer. I am not sure about experiencing with biGerman relationships. Not into that stuff!

I do have some good points in your reply, 19 years old, or 49 years old. You are a one lucky kid driving an A4 in undergrad school boy!!! I drove an old Vette to college, a cheVette that is!
