: Put a deposit on a completely loaded 328 this afternoon

: the car did not come with an in dash CD. The dealer said
: he didn't reccommend installing it. Said it would run

: factory unit if I buy the part?

: Was the previous post regarding "side mount" changer implying an interior mount of the factory changer?

The radio (with cassette)is easily removed and can be swapped with the CD type which is identical in size. It costs $200 at the time of order. Find a dealer who will not rip you off.

P.S. The CD type radio will also control a trunk mount changer if you want to add it later. This will cost you about $530 with all the parts required for the side mount installation and shiiping.
