Maybe it's still got a chip without a metal contact.. some sort of inductive pickup or something? I'm not a EE so I'm merely guessing here.. but if they say it's got a chip and immobilizer and it doesn't, major lawsuits are headed their way.. --Andi

: : Maybe the ECU remembers a seperate code for each key, and changes that particular code every time it's used. If they have flash memory to store one code, it's not that much more expensive to get enough memory to store four..

: One of the keys is made of plastic (for emergency use only). I really doubt it has a chip in it. How can a plastic conduct electricity?
