I had the same thing happen to my 238i an week after I bought it. I brought it in and I believe they told me that there was a short circuit occurring on the ABS, ASC sensor which is one the same circuit board. It is essential you bring it in!!!! You will not have ASC or ABS with the lights on!!
Hope this helps.

: Last weekend during a 400+ mile trip, I started the car (on Saturday - after 40 miles driven for the day) in a parking and the ABS, ASC, and Brake Light came on. The manual said the traction control, corner braking control, and ABS have been turned off and to see a dealer. I tried turning the car off, then back on...and all lights stayed on. We drove for awhile and everything felt fine. I pulled into a gas station just to check the brake fluid, and everything was fine. I now started the car, and all lights came off and everything has been fine for almost 300 miles and many starts. SHOULD I BE CONCERNED and contact the dealer, or just drop it? My gut tells me all is OK.
: Thanks, Bill '99 323i
