Double clutching on a asynchro trans is not as hard as you think. It's actually quite easy. Especially on the track with your brake pedal on the floor.

I agree with you that it's not hard but in the order of importance of things I think that time spent mastering other things is a lot more important especially with modern transmissions. Double clutching is mainly done to save wear and tear and I am not entirely convinced that it really does all that much in a modern BMW.
