: : : Has any else found the amount of wind noise from around the front doors excessive? Even at 30-35 mph I can hear it, and at 70mph it's very noticeable. Before I mention it to my dealer I'd be interested to know if it's a common problem.

: : Absolutely. I test drove a 328i the other day and the first thing I said to the saleman was, "Is my window closed?". At highway speeds, I noticed a lot of wind noise coming from the top portion of the window. I tried closing, opening, closing, and opening the driver side window but the noise persisted. The salesperson said the noise was common in all the cars and he couldn't figure out why. I was disappointed that the engineers didn't catch the noise in the wind tunnel...

: Thanks for that, Mike. I'll probably not have a lot of luck getting them to fix it if it's a standard "feature". I must say it's one of the few areas of the car I find disappointing - not what I'd expect of BMW. Still, it's worth beating them over the head with - if enough of us complain, maybe they'll fix it.
