: Kyle,

: I had the same dilemma a month ago. A 99 323i or a 97 M3 Sedan. I decided on the 323i for these reasons.

: 1. Newer body style
: "Will not be old for at least 5 years"
: 2. Lower Maintenance cost
: 3. Just love that new car smell

: but the real clincher was the insurance quotes I received for both cars. I am 30 yrs old, clean record, married and the M3 would add about 1200 bucks a year. The 323 added 200 to my existing policy.

: Either way, it depends on what you're really after. My inclination for the M3 Sedan rested primarily on its rarity. Only two years production run. Performance wasn't really an issue.

: anyway, hope this provides some insight to your own "dilemma."

: regards
: Arnold

My E34 M5 was only $300 more per year than my '89 325i (Allstate). I guess the insurance companies forgot about the M5 or more people crash M3's.
