: but the real clincher was the insurance quotes I received for both cars. I am 30 yrs old, clean record, married and the M3 would add about 1200 bucks a year. The 323 added 200 to my existing policy.
: Either way, it depends on what you're really after. My inclination for the M3 Sedan rested primarily on its rarity. Only two years production run. Performance wasn't really an issue.

My E34 M5 was only $300 more per year than my '89 325i (Allstate). I guess the insurance companies forgot about the M5 or more people crash M3's.
