Audi is a fine car. Like the E46, it has its strengths and areas requiring improvement/enhancement. As such, I think it is important that there remains open dialogue regarding the relative merits of the BMW competitors. This is the only way that BMW will continue to be a preferred choice. Otherwise, it will be left behind.

I consider myslef a Car enthusiast. I have driven a BMW for the last 10 years and will probably continue to drive one. I do so, NOT SIMPLY BECAUSE IT IS A BMW!! There are objective reasons behind it. I believe this car gives me the best driving experience for its value.

If one day Audi, Subaru, or whoever starts building a "better" car in this class, then I'm not going to be foolish and close my eyes to a "better" car. Until then, I for one would not want to discourage any such dialogue. I would like to think that in some small way BMW keeps their ears to the ground and listens to input provided by the members of this Message Board.

: All this Audi talk on the BMW board?? Audi A4 looks plain ugly and I dont care if they offered in tubo or supercahrged it or whatever they did to it. I think most of us here love our BMWs and I for one would not give up my E46 for even ten Audis. End of discussion.
