: I am planning on doing an American Delivery of the X5 at the Spartanburg delivery center, but let's face it, South Carolina is not exactly Germany. I would have preferred to vacation in Europe when I picked up the car. It would not be all that bad though, I do want to see the Spartanburg facility.

a nice trip to Myrtle Beach of Hilton Head would be nice don't you think? Especially if you play golf.

Do you guys know whether BMW has already started delivering cars to their customers at the Spartanburg delivery center or not. If not, do you know when?

not yet, i thought i heard May/June but I am not positive. hopefully by the end of the summer it will be up and running

Would there be special cheaper prices for American Delivery cars, just like Euro Delivery prices? For U.S. customers too? (I doubt it, what do you think?)

I haven't heard anything about prices. The center is going to be run by BMW NA not BMW MC. Initally it will only be available for US customers (nobody from overseas), but I think they may work on adding that later.

I will pass on all info I hear about it when I get it.
