I think the Navigation system on the European E46 also has TV because it is legal there. Unfortunately, it is not in the US. So, it was either disabled or removed on the US model. My dealer isn't sure either. And that is a big question I need an answer to. Does anyone know?
He said that two of his clients have successfully "tweeked" the Navigation System on their 97' 740iL to make the TV work. So now those two lucky ones are driving around with TV in their car.
If the TV feature was only "disabled" on the E46, there must be a way to get the TV to work. I'll study Electrical Engineering if I have to... :)
