Here we go again:
E36 vs. E46
Cindy Crawford vs. Tyra Banks
Michelle Pfiffer vs.
Coke vs. Pepsi
Diet Quaker Oatmeal vs. Corn Flakes
Michael Jordan vs. Shaq
D. Milano vs. eh eh eh, Dennis Rodman ????
You get the picture. OK, you don't !!! 8^D
I have an E36 (96 328i). I love my E36, but after taking a test drive in a new E46 328i sport, I must say, I was "thoroughly impressed" to say the least. The car has all the things my car presently does not. The performance is about the only thing that is close. The quietness is making Cadillac owners envious. OK, slight exageration ! But it is a very quiet car. I love the new interior and I prefer it over my "plastic" interior of my current E36. My wife loved the curviness of the passenger dashboard area that gave her more knee room. The wood trim is so much better than the old. I know, minor stuff. The car simply looks awesome boys. Take this from an E36 owner. The E46 328i is simply delicious. The only possibly better small sports sedan out there is the E46 M3 and maybe the Audi S4. But the S4 is $45K and the E46 328i can be had for $36K. Take a BMW over an Audi any day. Although I do admit I do have a fondness for the A4.
You heard it from the horse's mouth. If you can take an E46 over an E36, don't think about it. As Nike says, "Just do it" !
