Black leatherette is very nice. Not as soft as leather, but will probably look a lot better in 3-4 years than leather would. (My Acura had leather and after two years was already showing some wear on the driver's side - of course, I never treated it or anything. I've also seen 10-year old BMWs where the leather seats were totally dried out and cracked up - again, probably not cared fore.)

Thought I read somewhere that the dash, etc. is black regardless of the rest of the interior. If so, tan leatherette would probably look pretty cheesy.
