Well I bought the CD changer as well as the installation kit and the lefthand trim panel for my 323 yesterday. Upon reading the installation procedure that came with the kit I stumbled across a page that tells me that there are FOUR! different LH trim panels. Since I wasn't aware of the fact that there are four different panels I asked for PArt# 8-217-421 since that is the one that is mentioned in the article on eskimo.com This panel does only fit on vehicles that were produced prior to 9/98. My car was build in December. So it won't fit. Now I gotta go back and exchange the panel I have with the one that I need. So if anybody else is planning on installing the CD changer themself here are the part#s for all four trim panels available:

If the car was build prior to 9/98 and has folding seats you need: #8 217-425

If your car was build after 9/1/98 and has folding seats you need #8 266-565

If your car was build prior to 9/98 and does not have folding seats you need #8 217-421

And finally if your car was build after 9/1/98 and does not have folding seats you need #8 266 561

So make sure you order the right one esp. when you do mailorder like alot of people do on this list. I was lucky that I bought this locally and can return it tonight.

Marc
