It's Bimmer Bash!

Hey, is Y2K just buggin the heck outa ya? Are you sitting around thinking
about those brand new tires and no miles on em? New brake pads burning a hole in your pocket?
Well, here's the cure!

It's here! On Sunday, March 21st, at Hollywood Park in Inglewood, Ca.,
BMW CCA LA Chapter is holding an autocross. With a killer track design that's "not
your same ole slaloms in 1st gear turns", get ready for the ultimate
autocross event. We'll have instructors on hand to get you "on track"
for both the novice or, those veterans out there just needing a
refresher course. There will be timing at the event using the newly
acquired timing system co-owned with the folks at the San
Diego Chapter. And of course, trophies for those best times at the end
of the day's events.

Gates will open at 6 am, tech and registration will open at 7 am with
tech closing out at 8:20, and without exception, no car will be
inspected or allowed to run after this time. There will be a mandatory
driver's meeting at 8:30 with the course opening at 9 am. The entry fee
will be $50 and we're limiting the number of entries to the first 50.
Now a couple of rules that we all must follow. There is a noise
restriction of 92dB in effect, which means no uncorked headers or
obnoxiously loud exhausts. If your car does not fall within that
tolerance level, well, sorry, but you will not be allowed to run unless
you can bring it within the noise limits specified. No exceptions! The
speed limit within the park is always 15 mph and there will be no
warming of tires or brakes when you're not on the autocross course.

Classifications: Stock class may run any size wheel, any brand of shock
absorber, any air-filter or cat-back exhaust system. We will consider
any other mods, including, but not limited to springs, "R"compound
tires, and engine management performance chips as modified class. We use
the honor system, so please, be truthful so that we may class your car

A 4 cylinder, stock
MS All ///M cars, stock
B 4 cylinder, modified
MM All ///M cars, modified
C 6/8/12 cylinder, stock
N Novice (1st or 2nd event only)
D 6/8/12 cylinder, modified
W Women's
X All non-BMW's

There it is! You got questions? Well, we probably have answers.

This event is for BMWCCA members in good standing with preference given to current cardholders.
There may be spaces available for non-members who wish to join, but that space will be quite limited.
The cost for a one year membership is $35.
