: : Well this afternoon I took on the task to selfinstall the CD changer as well as the alarm for my 323i. Equipped with the necessary tools and instruction I felt pretty good to get it all done in one afternoon. I started with the CD changer and everything went pretty smooth. It took me about 1 1/2 hours and everything was in place and working. On to the alrm I thought. I started to install the horn behind the firewall in the engine compartment and it went fairly smooth. On to the part that goes in the trunk, another 10 minutes and that was taken care of as well. One more thing to do. Installation of the motion sensor in the roof of the car. I installed the module in the case and everything but what was this. There is no cable to plug into the motion detection module!!! Nothing! There is a small hole right in the middle of the metal that is inbetween the headliner and the roof but no cable! I searched with my fingers around in the headliner hoping that the cable just moved a little out of its place or something but again nothing. My car does have a moonroof and I don't know if that makes a difference or not. But the installation intructions didn't say anything about it being different for cars with a moonroof. Now I'm afraid that the cable for some reason wasn't installed in the factory and the dealer has to rip open the entire headliner to install one.

: : If anybody has ANY clue what might have happend I'd appreciate a response...
