: Is it possiblt to special order Tanin Red on a US spec car? The code is N6TD and it has been offered on the Euro- spec E46 cars for the past two model years. I know many here have special ordered cloth, so is it possible to special order a different color of the same seating surfaces? (Montana Leather) The dash and interior is black, only the seats are tanin red. I have it on my Z3 2.8 and would love it on my 328i. Is there any plans to offer it on 2000 models? Another question, when are 2000 sedans available to start ordering? I dont want to get a 1999 now and have the new model come out a month or two after i pick up the car. Also, opinions on which color I should get? Titanium silver is nice, but too comon. Alpine White is nice too, but in Euro brochure it says Tanin Red is not available with that color. It is available with Sienna Red, too. This color would definatly be unique, I see vary few Siena Red 323/328s. It is also available with both blacks (We only have one in the US), Cosmos Black and Jet Black.
1) the E46 has been offered in Europe for 2 months more than in the US, NOT 2 model years
2) if you know the code of the options you want to order the best thing to do is find a dealer that will put in the order for you...it will go to BMW AG and will get approved or not...the only thing you have to do is convince the dealer to put in the order (but you may have to put down a heafty deposit to get them to order a car like that because it might sit a long time if you back out)
3) 2000 E46s (coupes and sedans will be at the dealers in July)
