Seems like BMWs outnumber Hondas here. Everywhere you look, there's another. About a month ago I was driving through the Presidio (just outside Pacific Heights) and rolled up to a 4 way stop simultaneously with 3 other BMWs, all less than a year or 2 old. Flashing lights in that situation, also the universal sign for 'I see you, go ahead and do whatever it is you were going to,' would have been quite a setback for the insurance industry!

: Hi all, I've had my 323 E46 for about three weeks and find myself flashing my highbeams to oncoming 3 series bimmers (including E30s and E36s), but not many at all return the greeting. I'm originally from Europe, where drivers of common driving machines (BMW,Porsche,Alfa Romeo, etc.) signal each other as a greeting jesture, sort of acknowledging another fellow enthusiast. However, in the US this does not appear to be common-practice. I have a total passion and enthusiasm for BMW's performance, doesn't everyone else?

: Please share your thoughts.
: Thanks,
