for what its worth, i thought I would tell you my previous car experience - brand new in 1996 started with rattling door problems. After several months of trying to fix it, I removed the umbrella I kept there and was gone. the umbrella head was rattling. know it sounds wierd but could there be a simple issue like that.....well, not to insult you by suggesting that you have not checked for basic stuff but... i had not so. and even the dealer could not figure it out on my first service check.

: Anyone know how to take the inner door panel apart?
: the rattle in my passenger door is driving me NUTS! I'm afraid if I take it to the dealer I'll get the usuall "could not duplicate problem" response that every dealer give when you complain about rattles. So I figure I'll do this myself. but I can't figure out how to take the panel off. I only see 2 screws under the door handle, but that can't be the only thing that holds the panel on.

: anyone have experience or know of a BMW tech that can get me some info? thanks!

: Jack
