Well it's been almost 2 weeks (1 day short) since I've had my 328i. Put over 2000 miles on it already. The car has been wonderful! Everything I expected (with one exception).
my fuel consumption is averaging 21/24/30 (city/mix/highway)
with the auto transmission (epa estimate 19/27 city/highway)
and I hope it will get a little better as the miles pile on.

the only complaint is the rattle in the front passenger door.
I called my dealer last Thursday and she said she will have the service manager send me info on how to take the door panel off to isolate/fix the problem. I have not received anything yet from them so if anyone here has any experience with rattling doors, please let me know how it was resolved.

Also, question on extended warranties, how much do they usually cost?
I'm asking this because I'm going to be putting on between 35k and 60k miles a year and that 4yr/50k warranty will go by very quickly. Is a extended warranty worth it or should I just go without it and hope for very little to go wrong?

Anyone else notice a way too sensitive gas pedal? It seems the difference between starting off smoothly and burning out from a stop light is very slim to none.

Going to change the oil this weekend with Mobil 1 0w-30 extreme (for some reason, the local store had the 0w-30 cheaper then the 5w and 10w so I went with 0w). According to BMWNA Mobil 1 is the only non-oem synthetic oil approved for use in these new engines. Anyone know where I can get a affordable oil filter? Most places that have filters want to charge $10!!! for a oil fiter. My local dealer wants to charge $7+ with CCA discount. Kind of steep for a paper filter. Are there any after market manufacturers that sell filters for the new M52TU engines?

thanks all!
