Part of the problem with getting a good deal on an E46 is that the dealerships are only allotted a specific number of them per unit time by BMW (i.e. per "frame"). Since the E46's are selling well, no dealer is going to sell you one of their precious E46's which they no darn well will fetch a higher price if they wait for somebody else to come along.
I have heard, however, that a BMW bought through their European Delivery program does *not* come out of a dealer's frame allotment. Hence, by selling you a car through this program, they are in effect getting a "free" car to sell you as they are not loosing any of the cars already allotted to them. So any money they make off of you is above and beyond what they could make by selling all of their present E46's.
Does anybody know if this is true or not? Thanks,
