Do those aftermarket jobs talk? I mean its not a deciding factor but I think it's a great novelty.

: My advice is: buy a hand held unit - about $500 for one that does everything the car unit does, and you can use it in other cars, in a boat, on foot, etc. Also - do you get lost often? Would you really use it? 99.9% of the time, I know exactly where I'm going...etc. I'm sure there are people who rely on the navigation system, but I haven't seen any posts yet from anyone who says it's a "must have".
