: : According to him BMW cannot keep up with demand on the 3-series cars and all cars scheduled to be built in March have been delayed. Aaaaaghhh!
: : Anyone else been told the same???

: I would tend to believe that the build system is far more random than the dealers make it out to be. The excuse that demand is higher than anticipated is definitely bogus though -- that would mean to imply they are putting people ahead of you in line (and this can only happen if *they* move your codes to a later production car based on what we've been told about the system).

: In my experience, the reasons you are given are no representation of the truth. And there's probably not anything sinister behind it -- unless you are the only one on the planet whose car has been delayed.

: If your delivery date gets pushed out any further than May, you should probably consider ordering your car from another dealership. The delivery date you have now is the same one people are getting for cars they order today.
