I had coco mats in an Alfa Spider and they sucked. After one or two hot summers, they dried-out and started to fall apart. I got another kind of mat made from sisal (dont hold me to the spelling here) and they held up well.
: Good afternoon-
: There is a web site that offers some floormats made of woven material that's taken from coconut hairs, added to the rubber backing and very good vinyl strips along the sides. They have quite a lot of color combinations, and have both universal and custom fits. I happen to own an Acura Integra which desperately needs new mats, and a friend of mine bought some of these Cocomats and raved about them. They look very nice. My car is red/black, and I was able to hunt down a black/red "dot" design that'll look fantastic for me. I've seen a few Porsches and BMWs with mats that looked very much like the Cocomats, too. Whether they were or not is anyone's guess, but they looked it.
: The price is pretty steep. Front custom mats are like $90. A whole set is $125 or so, with S&H included. I'm going to wait until Spring to pick mine up. So they won't have a BMW logo, and you may not be able to floor-fasten them, but they'll look pretty nice. Have a look at the web site and see if you like it! Go to "Custom" and then "colors," I think it is.
