Sean,

I'm in a very similar position, having moved to Austin from the UK in November '97. I'm leasing a Ford ZX2 at the minute, which I managed to get with nothing down. It is only worth 14k though :) They only gave me the deal as I had history with Ford Credit in the UK, and they were able to take that into account.

I'll be going for a 328 coupe this August, again a 2-year lease to tide me over until the new M3 becomes available. Please let me know how you get on if you make the deal.
