Unless you are so busy you can't find an hour of time, I don't think its worh it. The programing of the key should only cost a half (1/2) hour of labor, so depending on your dealers hourly rate (mine is $70) don't pay more than that. Otherwise the alarm labor costs should be an 1 and half hours (1.5). So, if you have some money to spend go ahead and have someone put it in for you. But I would think that money could be spent buying a spoler or something. Best of luck!
: My dealer quoted a price of $399 for the E46 alarm installed on a new 323i
: I know the alarm is available for $240 but is $399 fair considering it would be there when I pick up the car and not have to mess with the installation?
