This is very true. I actually saw an e36 that was completely chromed this summer. I mean the whole car, they actually painted it with some kind of chrome paint. I saw it at night but I'm sure it would be blinding on a California summer day (this was in San Francisco). I'm sure its probably illegal too. Looked really strange.
